Can Gan Izzy prides itself on its exceptional staff. All staff come with prior camp experience and a desire to work with kids. We are dedicated to recruiting, training and keeping the highest quality counselors and staff to ensure the best possible care, instruction and supervision for our campers.
Camp Directors
Rabbi Shmulik & Yael Moscowitz
Rabbi Shmulik and Yael Moscowitz are passionate about creating joyful, meaningful, and engaging Jewish experiences for children and families.
Before moving to West Boca, they served as Chabad emissaries in Flagstaff, Arizona, where they directed Hebrew School of the Arts, Camp Canyon, and the Jewish Student Center at Northern Arizona University. For the past five years, they lived in São Paulo, Brazil, where they helped launch and grow Alef Bait Center, a thriving Jewish preschool and community hub.
This past year, they have been running the CKids After School Program at Chabad of West Boca Raton, welcoming 40+ children each week in a warm, fun, and structured environment.
Now, as directors of Camp Gan Izzy West Boca, they are excited to bring that same energy, care, creativity, and Jewish pride to an unforgettable summer camp experience.
Rabbi Shmulik and Yael are the proud parents of seven wonderful children.

Hi! My name is Toby Sandman, and I’m from New Haven, Connecticut. I’m so excited to be part of the very first summer of CGI West Boca! I’ve worked as a day camp counselor for the past few summers and absolutely love everything about camp life.
